Here is my ridiculous excited face, because I have just signed off on the final edits to my front cover and the book is going to print! 30 copies of Grey Animals: Gourmet Edition will be with me next weekend, and it’s very exciting. As soon as I’m able (i.e. when university deadline’s are out of the way) I’ll be putting them up for sale on the store (<—— OVER THERE, IN THE SIDEBAR; LOOK) for anyone who is interested.
I’ve just received an email from the lovely people at Girton College informing me I have been shortlisted for the Jane Martin Poetry Prize 2014!
I am absolutely honoured and thrilled to have been shortlisted, no matter the outcome!
I’ve now entered 2 competitions this year and been shortlisted for both, which is somewhat mind boggling!
Just spoken with the printers and a proof copy of my book is going to print this afternoon! Should be with me by Monday with any luck - very exciting!
Welcome! Buy my things!
I am just gonna plug my store though - nothing is actually for sale yet as I’m still organising the printing of my book and artwork, but bookmark this page and be sure to buy things when I have them for sale :)
Lack of posts
If anyone is wondering why I haven’t been posting any regional writing for a little while, its because I’ve been so incredibly busy with third year deadlines and such, and will be until mid-May. After that, I hope to be posting much more consistently. Thanks for staying tuned :)
Happy Monday everyone!
As it is now less than a week away I just thought I’d let any Londoners who are at all interested in my work - and in poetry in general! - of a poetry evening I will be reading at.
The Poetry Society is putting on an evening of poetry in connection with students at the University of Greenwich, at their gorgeous little headquarters at 22 Betterton Street (just around the corner from Covent Garden).
I myself will be reading in a slightly longer slot than I’m used to, so it’s very exciting for me!
Other Greenwich students will be reading, and having studied with a lot of them for the last three years, I can tell you they are well worth hearing.
So if you’re in London on the 29th March, come along!
